Prof. K. K. Shukla received the B.E. degree in Civil Engineering from Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur, India in 1986, the M.E. degree in Structures from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College Allahabad, Prayagraj, India in 1988, and the Ph.D degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India in 2001. He has more than 30 years of experience and has been a faculty member at various positions at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj, India from 1988 to 2017. He has also been at different administrative positions at MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj. Currently, he is the Director of National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India. Prof. Shukla has published more than 150 research papers, received many awards and recognition, and visited many countries.

Dr. A. K. Akella obtained the B. Sc. (Engg.) and M. Tech. (Control System Engg.) degrees from Bihar University, Muzaffarpur in 1987 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from IIT Roorkee in 2006. His research interests include Renewable Energy Systems and Control System. Dr. Akella has supervised many Ph.D and M.Tech scholars and published many journal and conference papers.

Dr. Vijay Sood (Fellow, IEEE) obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Bradford, England. From 1976-2007, he was employed as a Senior Researcher at IREQ (Research Institute of Hydro-Québec) in Montreal. Since 2007, he is an Associate Professor at Ontario Tech University, Oshawa, Canada. His research interests are in the monitoring, control and protection of HVDC and FACTS power systems and microgrid operation and control. He has published widely on HVDC and FACTS transmission systems. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, a Life Fellow of the IEEE, Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada and Emeritus Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineers.

Prof. R. N. Mahanty received his B.Sc. (Engg.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla in 1985 and M.Tech (Power System) from National Institute Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur in 1988. He received his Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur in 2003. He joined NIT Jamshedpur as a lecturer in 1988, became an associate professor in 2003 and a professor in 2008. He worked as a visiting faculty at University Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from Jan 2007 to July 2008. His research interests are in the areas of power system protection, Applications of ANN, Wavelet Transform and Fuzzy Logic in power system protection and microgrid. He authored several international publications in reputed journals. He has been reviewer of reputed international journals viz. IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, Electric Power Systems Research and International journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems. He has 32 years of teaching experience at UG and PG levels. He has also supervised M Tech and Ph.D. theses.
Dr. Manoj Tripathy received his BE degree in electrical engineering from Nagpur University, Nagpur, India, in 1999, the M.Tech degree in instrumentation and control from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, in 2002, and the PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 2008. He is currently working as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. His fields of interest are wavelets, neural network, optimization techniques, content-based image retrieval, digital instrumentation, digital protective relays and digital speech processing. Dr Tripathy is a reviewer for various international journals in the area of power systems and speech.

Prof. Bhim Singh (Fellow, IEEE) was born in Rahamapur, Bijnor (UP), India, in 1956. He received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Roorkee (now IIT Roorkee), Roorkee, India, in 1977, the M.Tech. degree in power apparatus and systems, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the IIT Delhi, India, in 1979 and 1983, respectively.,In 1983, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Roorkee, as a Lecturer. He became a Reader there in 1988. In December 1990, he had joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi, India, as an Assistant Professor, where he became an Associate Professor in 1994 and a Professor in 1997. He has been the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi from July 2014 to August 2016. He has been the Dean, Academics at IIT Delhi, from August 2016 to August 2019. He is JC Bose Fellow of DST, Government of India since December 2015. He is CEA Chair Professor since January 2019.,Prof. Singh has guided 84 Ph.D. dissertations, and 168 M.E./M.Tech./M.S.(R) theses. He has filed 58 patents. He has executed more than 80 sponsored and consultancy projects. His areas of interest include solar PV grid interface systems, microgrids, power quality monitoring and mitigation, solar PV water pumping systems, improved power quality ac–dc converters.
Prof. Om P. Malik (Fellow, IEEE) graduated in electrical engineering from Delhi Polytechnic in 1952 and obtained a Master’s degree in electrical machine design from Roorkee University in 1962. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of London and a D.I.C. from the Imperial College (now University) of Science and Technology, London in 1965. Dr. Malik worked in electric utilities in India from 1952 to 1961 and spent one year, 1959-60, as a Confederation of British Industries Senior Scholar with manufacturing companies in the U.K. He taught at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada, from 1966-68 and joined the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in 1968. He was acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering in 1981, Associate dean (Academic) from July 1979 to December 1990, and Associate Dean (Student Affairs) from July 1995 to December 1998. At present he is Professor Emeritus, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Calgary. His publication record comprises over 375 papers in international journals such as IEEE Transactions and IET (formerly IEE) Proceedings, and he has presented over 360 papers at international conferences. He is the author of two books. 52 PhD and 58 Masters students have successfully completed their degrees under his supervision.
Prof. Arun Kumar Singh is currently a Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India. He received his B.Sc. (Engg.) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra; M.Tech from the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; and PhD degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India. He has over 30 years of teaching experience and taught subjects like Control System, Control & Instrumentation, Power System Operation and Control, Non-Conventional Energy, Circuit & Network Theory. His major areas of research interests include control system, control system applications in different areas & non-conventional energy. Prof. Singh is a Life Member of ISTE and a life fellow member of Institute of Engineers. He has been the Dean of Student Welfare at National Institute of Technology.

Dr. Premalata Jena is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. She received her B.Tech degree in electrical engineering from the Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India, in 2001, the M.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2006, and the PhD degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, Kharagpur, India, in 2011. She has seven years teaching experience. She is IEEE member and INAE, Young Associate. She received many awards such as Women Excellence Award and Early Carrier Research Award, SERB, DST, Gov. of India, New Delhi, INAE Young Engineer Award, POSOCO Power System Award, in 2013. She has published many papers in different reputed journals and conferences. Her fields of interest are Smart Grid, Smart grid technology and protection, Microgrid, Microgrid Protection, Signal processing application to power system relaying, Power system Protection, Protection Issues with FACTS Devices, Protection Scheme Development for a line with FACTS devices, Disturbance localization, Signal processing application for disturbance localization.
Prof. Niranjan Kumar has received his B.Sc (Engg.) degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur, India, in 1988, the M.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur, India, in 1996 and Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India 2010. Present he is Professor and Dean (Industry & Alumni Relations) at National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. He has more than 20 years teaching experience. He has published many papers in different reputed journals and conferences. His fields of interest are Power system restructuring, Electricity market, Network costing, Congestion management and Power system economics.
Dr. Kumari Namrata has received her Ph.D. from the NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand in 2017. She is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and also holding the additional post of Associate Dean Student Welfare. Her research areas are in the field of Solar power generation and conversion, Solar radiation estimation, Modeling and simulation of the energy-based system and Microgrid modelling, operation and control. She has published many papers in international conferences and reputed journals on solar radiation estimation, prediction and modelling. She is also a reviewer of International Journal of Renewable Energy-Hindawi Publishers. She is a member of IEEE and also a lifetime member of the Indian Society for Technical Education.

Papia Ray received the B.Tech in electrical engineering from Govt. College (Bihar University), India, M.Tech in power systems from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and a Ph.D. degree in power systems from IIT, Delhi, India, in 2013. She is currently serving as Associate Professor in the Dept of Electrical Engg, Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, Odisha. She has more than 17 years of teaching experience. She is the author of one book published by springer and more than 50 research articles. Further, she is the recipient of the Young Scientist award by DST, New Delhi in 2015. Her research interests include the Application of Soft Computing Techniques in Power System Protection, Wide-area measurement system, Biomedical Signal processing.
Dr. Arvind R. Singh received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the Walchand College of Engineering, Government Autonomous Institute, Sangli, India, in 2009, the M.Tech. degree in electrical power system from the College of Engineering, Government Autonomous Institute, Pune, India, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India, in 2017. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Shandong University, Jinan, China. His area of research includes power system protection, power system compensation, smart grid, microgrid and renewable energy generation, optimization & integration, and soft computing applications.
Dr. Piyush Khadke is currently working as an Electrical Consultant in Nagpur. He has been awarded Ph.D. degree from VNIT, Nagpur in 2017 in the area of EHV Transmission Line protection. He has also worked as an Executive Engineer in Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. for 2 years. He has completed M.Tech (2014) in Integrated Power System from VNIT, Nagpur. His area of research work is EHV Transmission Protection system, Digital relaying, EHV Substation equipments, and Power system.

Dr. Umesh K. Sinha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur, India. He obtained the B. Sc. (Engg.) degree from MIT Muzaffarpur, M. Sc. (Engg.) degree from RIT Jamshedpur and the Ph.D. degree from Ranchi University in 2010. His research interests include Solar and renewable energy systems, Modeling of salt gradient solar pond of various types, Modeling and simulation of collectors, Modeling and simulation of hybrid vehicles, and Development of model for zero energy building. Dr. Sinha has supervised many Ph.D and M.Tech scholars and published many journal and conference papers.
Dr. Himanshu Misra received the B. Tech. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India, in 2009, and the M. Tech. degree in power electronics and drives from Madan Mohan Malaviya Engineering College, Gorakhpur, India, in 2011. Dr. Misra obtained the Ph.D. degree in 2018 from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, Delhi, India. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of computing and electrical engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India. His areas of research interests include power electronics, electrical machines, and drives.

Dr. Monalisa Biswal, is a senior member of IEEE society. Dr. Biswal joined as an an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering Department of NIT Raipur in the April of 2013 after completing her PhD from Sambalpur University. She worked as an Engineer in Jindal Power Ltd from SEPT’2008 to Jan’2009. She has also served as a Shift Engineer from February 2009 to October 2010 at 220/132/133 KV grid substation in Burla which is part of Orissa Power Transmission Corporation Limited. She has won many accolades some of which includes the POSOSCO Power System Award in 2014, Young Scientist Award SERB-DST in 2015, Young Scientist Award in 2017 which was organized by CGCOST and CSVTU, Bhilai. Dr. Biswal has authored book titled “MIcrogrid Operation, Control, Monitoring and Opeartion. She has written 11 book chapters, 31 papers in conferences and 27 papers in Journals. She has worked on a project named “Advanced Protection to prevent zone-3 maloperation during stress system condition” under SERB, DST from 2016-2019. Her research projects with EriGrid Technalia,2019 includes Islanding Detection in Microgrid Integrated with Hybrid DG and Offline Testing of reclosing Technique for providing uninterrupted power supply to microgrid system. Her current research areas are - Microgrid Protection, Uninterrupted Power Supply to Microgrid, Smart Architecture, Control and Protection Coordination for Smart Grid Protection, Smart Grid, Adaptive Relaying, Protection Algorithm during Instrument Transformer Transients.
Dr. Krishna Murari received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from WBUT, India, in 2010, and the M.E degree in power systems from Thapar University, India, in 2014. He completed his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2019. In January 2020, he joined University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA where he is working as a Postdoctoral Fellow on the project ‘(ReDis-PV)’ funded by DOE. Interests: AC-DC load flow, distribution network pricing, and smart grid.

Madhu Singh graduated in Electrical Engineering from NIT, Patna in the year 1990, post-graduated from NIT, Jamshedpur, in Power Electronics and Drives in 2007. She has completed her Ph.D. in power electronics from NIT Rourkela in 2014. At present she is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Engineering in NIT Jamshedpur, India. She has authored many research papers in the areas of Power Electronics and Drives, Renewable Energy Source, Fuzzy Logic Controller and Nonlinear controllers.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar obtained his Ph.D. from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, India in 2016, M. Tech from NIT Patna, India in 2010 and B. Tech from NIT Jamshedpur, India in 2006. He is having more than five years of teaching experience. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor in the department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. His research interests are Load Flow Studies, Reactive Power Management, and Congestion Management using FACTs Devices. He obtained Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics (Engg.), M. Tech degree in Power Electronics, and Ph. D. (IIT Roorkee) in 2017. His research interests include Modeling and simulation of energy systems, Optimization techniques, Renewable energy, Power electronics and drives, Design of power distribution network, Demand side management, Artificial intelligence based prediction of resources and demand, DC and AC Microgrids.
Dr. Ananyo Bhattacharya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur. He has obtained his Bachelor of Technology from West Bengal University of Technology (Presently known as MAKAUT) in 2010 and Master of Technology in 2012 from Calcutta University, West Bengal, India. He has obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in 2017 from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, Jharkhand. His research interests are Applications of High Frequency Inverter , Power Electronics and Drives and Power systems. He has several publications including book chapters, reputed journals and conference papers. Presently He is guiding 4 Research Scholars and several M. Tech Scholars. Dr. Om Hari Gupta is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India. He received the B.Tech degree (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) from UP Technical University, Lucknow, India, M.Tech degree (Power Electronics & ASIC Design) from the MN National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, India, and Ph.D. degree (Electrical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India. He is a recipient of the Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarship for research visiting the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Oshawa, ON, Canada in 2017. Dr. Gupta has authored a book on "Protection Challenges in Meeting Increasing Electric Power Demand" and more than 30 research publications. He is a reviewer for various international journals including IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, Electric Power Components and Systems, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems, etc. His major areas of research interests include Power System Protection, Microgrid, Renewable-based Distributed Generation, and Electric Power Quality.
Dr. Jitendra Kumar is currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, India. He received his B.Tech. from IMS Engineering college, Ghaziabad, India, in 2009, M.Tech from the National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, Kurukshetra, in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, Roorkee, India, in 2017. He has over 4 years of teaching experience and taught subjects like Power system, Advanced Power System, Control System, Control & Instrumentation, Power System Operation and Control, Signal & System, Power System Protection, Circuit & Network Theory. He has many papers in reputed journals. His major areas of research interests include power system protection and restructuring, Protection algorithms design in smart grid and microgrid environment, Design of protection algorithms in FACTS environment.
Dr. Shailendra Kumar was born in Mahoba, India, in 1988. He received B.Tech. in electrical engineering from GBTU, Lucknow, India, in 2010, and the M.Tech. in power electronics, electrical machine and drives from the IIT, Delhi, India, in 2015. He has completed his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from IIT, Delhi, India on 16 May, 2019. Currently, He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, MA NIT Bhopal. He has worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Khalifa University (Petroleum Institute). His research interests include power quality, grid integration, custom power devices, microgrid and renewable energy. Dr. Kumar is recipient of POSOCO award (in Master as well as in Doctoral ) in 2016 and 2019. He is also a recipient of Prof. Som Nath Mahendra Student Travel Awards for PEDES 2018 and the IEEE UPCON Best paper Award in 2016 and 2018.
