The 6th International Conference on Electric Power and Renewable Energy (EPREC-2026) - formerly "Electric Power and Renewable Energy Conference" - is a prestigious international conference organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Bhilai. Building on the legacy established by the previous five editions, which were successfully organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur, this conference continues to serve as a leading platform for the exchange of cutting-edge research and innovation in Electric Power and Renewable Energy.
Since its inception on 29th May 2020, EPREC has been a significant forum for fostering interactions between academia and industry through diverse technical activities. The 2026 edition will feature plenary sessions, keynote addresses, tutorials, a student paper contest, stall displays, and technical presentations of the highest caliber. The conference spans multiple tracks, covering various areas of Electrical, Computer, and Electronics Engineering.
The five editions of the EPREC (i.e., EPREC-2020, EPREC-2021, EPREC-2022, EPREC-2023, and EPREC-2024) have been highly successful. Over the years, EPREC has established itself as a premier forum for presenting recent advances in Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, Control Applications in Power Systems, and Soft Computing Applications in Power Systems.
Now, the 6th International Conference on Electric Power and Renewable Energy (EPREC-2026) is being organized by the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India, from January 02-04, 2026.
The conference will feature expert talks, paper presentations, and interactive discussions on state-of-the-art technologies in Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives, Control Applications in Smart Power Systems, and recent advances in Applied Soft Computing. The proceedings of EPREC-2026 will be published through IEEE, ensuring global visibility and indexing in leading databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar.

The conference provides a platform for author to get recognition for their research findings and, innovations. The scope of the conference is multidisciplinary and focuses on the emerging areas in the field of Modern Power System, Advancement in Power Electronics & Drives, Control Applications in Modern Power System, and recent advances in applied soft computing. The papers accepted for oral presentation and subsequently presented by the duly registered authors in EPREC-2026 shall be submitted to IEEE Explore for publication. **Springer follows stringent policies for plagiarism. Papers having similarities beyond a specified limit of 20% will be straightaway rejected and therefore, it should be below 20% for camera-ready papers. The authors also need to obtain permission from the copyright holder for third-party content use, if any.
The minimum page length should be 5 (please use Springer-LNEE format) and as of now, there is no maximum limit proposed by the organizing committee. However, the preferred page length is between 5 to 20. Additional pages may be allowed depending upon the reviewers' comments.

The electrical engineering department of IIT Bhilai offers PhD in Electrical Engineering, MTech in three different specializations, namely, Electrical Vehicular Technology, Control & Instrumentation, and Power & Power Electronics. It also offers 4-year BTech Program of Electrical Engineering. Being one of the first three engineering disciplines of IIT Bhilai, commencing in 2016, EE Dept currently have total 222 BTech Students, 35 MTech Students, 11 Regular PhD Students and 4 Part Time PhD Students.
